2008 Opening Day at the Speedway

Once again, THE Speedway is open! Today was Rookie Orientation, and from the TommyD Trackside Report, this was likely one of the busier Opening Day's in several years--AND the big bonus of the day was absolutely wonderful weather! We're certain that this 92nd running of the Indy 500 will be simply superb and we share the extreme excitement that all Open Wheel race fans are sharing with the recent unification of Open Wheel racing.

Your Camp and Brew crew have been working off and on all winter, and feverishly this spring to finalize all our planning for this Seventh Annual event! We're in the home stretch now and Glenn from Colorado is just 5 days from jumping into his motor home and heading east to the Racing Mecca of the world. Fortunately, the bank approved the second mortgage to pay for the fuel.

As always, we'll be setting up on Thursday, May 22 and will be ready for visitors by the early afternoon. Make sure you plan on stopping by often to enjoy race-talk with other fans, hoisting a cool beverage (we do have non-alcoholic beverages), and helping us support Brian's Wish.

Here are some of the things that you've come to expect from Camp and Brew:

• 50/50 race pools to benefit Brian's Wish (WIN up to $100!)

• LIVE webcam (2008 will have TWO webcams!)

• Large hospitality tent

• Awesome pulled-pork sandwiches from the folks-formerly-known-as-Chez Bubba
