Plans are well under way for May 21st when C&B 2009 will commence. Our 8th year
is expected to again be one for the record books as we ignore the bad economy
with talk of racing and seeing old friends once again. Yes, there will be beer
there too.

planning is progressing for 2009!
Well, the annual event is over once again, and we've begun our long countdown to
C&B 2009!
We've just finished consolidating all the generous we donations for
Brian's Wish, and we are
very pleased to announce that we have a new donation record of $5,350
for Brian's Wish!
We certainly could not do that without the overwhelming generosity of the many people who
support our event by donating in person, donating at our website, or from
participating in our online 50-50 race pools!
It takes quite a bit of help to put on this event each
year. We would like to thank the following folks for their
various help in another successful event. In no particular order:

In a bit of very sad news, we found out that our good friend
Miles "Mackie" Nelson died just after returning home after the race.
He has been a fixture of C&B since at least our second year in 2003. You can
read more about Miles
here, and see pictures of him
here. Our
thoughts and prayers go out to Miles' family at this very difficult time and we
plan to honor him as the Mayor of Georgetown Road in memoriam at C&B
2009. |
